This policy explains what information iPalette (ipalette.net) collects when you visit the site, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to all pages on ipalette.net.

Information collected

iPalette aims to collect as little information as possible. The categories below describe what can be collected:

• Usage data via analytics. When you load a page, Google Analytics (Google tag G-41TR38EBZK) records information such as your approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, referring page, time on page, and interactions with the site. This data is aggregated and used to understand which pages are useful and which are not.
• Information you send voluntarily. If you email the contact address, the message itself, your email address, and any attachments you include are retained so the conversation can be responded to.
• Ad-serving data. When advertising is enabled, third-party advertising partners (including Google) may receive technical information about your request as described below.

iPalette does not require accounts, logins, or forms on its pages. Palettes you generate are computed and stored locally in your browser (using localStorage) and are not transmitted to the server.

iPalette participates in Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained for the default Google Analytics retention period. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle the conversation and meet basic record-keeping needs. Server logs are retained only for as long as needed for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

International transfers

Vendors such as Google may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where personal data leaves your region, transfers are carried out under the safeguards each vendor provides (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Children

iPalette is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact [email protected] so the information can be removed.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect data against unauthorised access or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
